I was trying to get Katherine to settle down for a nap, after she called me up to tell me she'd bumped her head on the headboard. "Here you go," I said, kissing the boo-boo. Then I arranged a couple of her stuffed animals beside her. "Sid the Bear will watch you. And here's Cthulhu -- he'll watch you, too."
"No, Daddy," she said. "Cthulhu not watch me. He --" and then she lapsed into a long, earnest description of what Cthulhu would do, of which I understood not a word.
I hope that's not a bad sign.

Dave did it sound something like this?
"Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn"
Um ... sometimes she sounds like that a lot.
Why? Is that a problem?
Nah...No problem.
(secretly hoping that Daves house if far enough away for safety)
Nope everything is perectly fine. Where all ok here!
You men are all wimps - All toddlers have a little Cthulhu in them. That's why they call it the terrible twos.
[Snorts milk out her nose.]
The Ctherrible Cthwos?
Just wait until she becomes even more understandable.....the talking increases, you never get a word in, and she'll get really pissed that you haven't answered any of her 437 questions she asked you a minute ago.
"So tell me why the sky's blue, okay? Or else, maybe I'll ask Cthulhu to come around and ask you a few questions ..."
Dave, that's about the funniest thing I've read in a while. And no, no need to be concerned. If she begins to express an interest in towns on the New England shoreline, though, be careful...
Has she developed an unblinking stare? If not, no need to worry.
What about her imaginary friends, Hastur and the like?
