And Douglas county is STILL approving building permits!!
I live in Fort Collins, as some of you may know. Stepping out in the morning to get the newspaper for the last few days, I smelled smoke. While out for a ride on Wednesday, I could see the smoke cloud rising from about 15-20 miles away. It's kind of reminiscient of when I was a kid in Southern California, where we had a number of big fires when I was in Jr. High and High School. I've been living East of the Mississippi for the last few years, and I had forgotten about this part of living in the West.
I hope that tonight's rain helps them put the damn thing out, and that the next few weeks are wet enough to help, but not so wet that it keeps me indoors and off my bike. How's that for mixed feelings about the weather?
