Wa-wa-walkin ...

Realized I had a glitch in my 1000 Miles to Nowhere spreadsheet that had kept me from accurately noting my overall success. I've updated that, and thus added additional ducks and a chicken to the list in the sidebar.

I'm currently at 1,384 miles for the year, trying to reach 1,500. At this rate, I should be actually able to make it, since I am just exceeding (for the year) the needed daily mileage. Yay.

Of course, I also overate over the weekend, but, hey, that just means more calories I'm burning on my walks, right?

Yayyyyy for extra duckies!

I can't begin to tell you how many times I spent an extra five minutes or so on cardio to nudge my mileage that little bit more and keep those ducks a-comin'.

Interesting, eh, how even a small virtual prize like a pixelated rubber duckie can push a body on. I'm trying to convince my trainer to start a Going Nowhere club at my gym, set aside a corner on the gym announcement board where folks can note mileage and get little stickers. She's sceptical that it would actually convince people to keep on keeping on, though.

*Sigh*.

Steady, regular tracking is really important (for me, at least) to keep me on track for these sorts of things.
