All wet

Finally got sprinkler guys out here to look at the two dead zones.  One zone just needed a bit of jiggling on its wiring -- it's working great.  The other, including the under-deck, suffered from a damaged wire.  I'd be ticked off at the deck installers, except that the cut evidently came when I was moving a sprinkler head down to the corner of the new deck.  *sigh*

(The fellow opened one of the valve cannisters, said, "Yeesh," and poked around in it for a minute with a stick.  "Glad I'm not allergic to spiders," he continued.  Which is one of the reasons I'm not the sort of guy to go replacing his own valves and solenoids, but instead pays extortionate amounts to have it done for me.)

Of course, with all the rain we've been having, there's been little need for sprinklers for the last week.  But it will be good to have them all up and working, finally.  It will help under the deck, and it will help with some large swathes of grass that are looking a wee parched.

Kudos to the guy from Aqua who came out.  He's been to our house before, and remembered some of the problems from previous visits.
