Going to be spending most of the next week on the road. Tonight we head out to California for a couple of days of celebration re Jim and Ginger's retirements. Should be much fun. We get back on Sunday.
Tuesday afternoon, I head on a business trip to the Great White North -- Calgary, to be specific. My first time in Canada in several years (since our honeymoon), first time on business, and first time in Calgary (or Alberta). Basically a "fly up the evening before, sit in a long meeting discussing stuff face to face, fly down the next evening" kind of thing, so it's not like I'll get a good taste of the city, as far as that goes, but it should be interesting.
Even though I think of Calgary as being relatively nearby (another Plains/Front Range city on the Rockies), it's actually as long to fly there as to California. (Note to self: travel into/from Canada now requires a passport.)
