It looks like Ecto should work with MT4, but let me check.
There are some very nice new features with the MT online editor that I'll be checking out to see how Ecto continues to stack up (e.g., live previews). That said, the template/HTML-Tags ability of Ecto (not to mention its offline capabilities) will be very, very hard to beat.
