Haven't read it yet -- but, it's almost got to be seven kinds of spiffy.
(Shout-out and thanks to old PBEM pal Chris Kindred who Brust says twisted his arm into it.)

From your website to my hot little hands :)
Finished the tale this evening. About as jolly fun a one might imagine. Brust's voice isn't precisely Whedon's, but he has the characters down, he does the expectedly fine bon mots, and of the plot is simultaneousy overcomplicated and not all that interesting, his popping from one person's head to another is pretty fine.
Were this a professionally released novella, I'd expect a round of editing that it lacked, but for "fanfic" by a professional writer, it's highly recommended -- especially if you like Firefly.
Hmmmm ... getting to be about time to rewatch the series.
