Counting words for the sidebar (revisited)

So having found the code to access the API for the sidebar yesterday, today I discover the widgets have been turned on.  Of course.

More or less.

There’s a classy one that I’m using on my main blog.

On this page, I’ve decided to just go with a simple bar graph, which includes notes on wordcount, percent complete (of my 50K), and days left.

There are a couple of others — a bar graph showing over/under by day, and a calendar which also shows daily status — but they don’t show me a lot.  They are also both a day behind, which is a bit weird.

The full list of widgets can be seen here. There’s also a full-page status report that I’ll put a link to in the sidebar; it’s also a day behind.

I may take that cool spreadsheet that Margie did and make a little bar graph for Katherine to imitate the one I’m using.  We’ll see.
