Stamina prerequisites in City of Heroes
Since I've been looking at Stamina for ... well, for practically every character I have ... something I missed in my reading:
Stamina requires two other powers from the Fitness pool (Swift, Hurdle, Health) as a prerequisite, and cannot be taken until level 20.
Knew about the level req, but not about the other pre-reqs. That's annoying.

Quoth Avocet:
Well, the Awesome Avocet is constantly running out of Endurance, and he’s level 15, so I guess as soon as he acquires another 10,000 Experience, he’ll be getting Swift instead of a new attack. Swift will increase the speed of Hover, which will be nice in combat.
Quoth Doyce:
Hang Time has Swift, Hover, Health AND Stamina, and honestly, Stamina was the only power that I didn’t consider to be a “Must have” in the group.
Strategist will have all four as well, even sooner.
Girl Five is collecting at least three, and probably all four.
Same with Rose.
Honestly, it’s a set that gets you ready to fight faster (health and end recovery) moves you around faster even when you have your travel powers off (on indoor maps), and gets you over barriers easier. There simply isn’t a bad power in the set. Some folks might not need Health, sure, but … well, I’m not one of em. It’s an awesome power pool — just lets you be a hero… better.

Health is the last one I would take in the set, unless I was an archetype that has a lot of difficulty with HP. Since I don't play Blasters, it's never really been an issue. ;)
Swift is great, if I'm leaning toward getting Stamina. As "necessary" as it is, I think a smart player can get around their Endurance issues with clever planning with powers and enhancements. It's not as necessary as some people think.
Of course, the decision on whether or not to take it also depends a lot on who you usually group with. Empathy and Kinetics can go a long way to free up three to four power slots for something more interesting.

I don't have the numbers offhand, but fully slotted with SOs is probably would do a pretty good job, depending on how fast you're burning through the End to begin with.

Single Origin enhancements (vs Dual Origin/DOs, or Training enhancements).
