Sweet. In the few years since Margie and I last did a Britain trip, there's been an advance (I hope) in black and white film.

Our MO is usually to bring one good camera in color, one in b&w. I like the latter, especially for architectural shots.

Biggest drawback is that b&w film was previously processed differently than color film. And the professional stuff still is. That meant waiting a week for the shots to come back, and higher prices.

Kodak now sells b&w film that is processed with the same C-41 process as color film. Which means anyplace from 24 Hour Photo to CostCo can and will process the stuff just like color pics. Sweet.

Another difference from last time? Photo CDs ...

(And, yes, we're bringing the digital camera, but since it only does a 2x zoom, its capabilities are kind of limited. Perfectly good for people shots, though.)

Quoth Anne ...

You probably won't get this until you get back, but be careful where you have that film processed. If a place has less than bright staff it comes out sort of purple tinted (and here I'm thinking CVS).

Have a great trip.
