Rise of the Dark M-pire

Oh. My.

A commercial tie-in to a media product that's

  1. well done, to the point of being damned funny
  2. for a product that actually looks like I want it

Obviously one of the signs of the Apocalypse.

Quoth Avocet ...

A highly amusing video, but I won't be buying the product. (I dislike dark chocolate. Too bitter. I may be one of those "supertasters" I heard about on NPR.)

Yeah, yeah. You like coffee, too.

Bitter! Ptooey.

Quoth David Newman ...

I LOVE dark chocolate. Milk chocolate is much less interesting. Like Dave, I'm looking forward to the dark chocolate M&Ms. But like Avocet, I hate coffee.

Supertasters often find broccoli to be too bitter. Avocet, if you hate broccoli because it's bitter, then you're probably a supertaster. I've never heard of a connection between disliking dark chocolate and supertasters, but it sounds plausible.

Quoth *** Dave ...

Since I actually don't find broccoli overly-bitter (though I don't find it suitable for much more than a vector for sauces), that would make sense.

So ... does George H.W. Bush like coffee? Or dark chocolate?
