You will also need a lot of shielding, otherwise you will be very sick and most likely dieing after doing all of that.

One of the problems with the taking apart all of those bits and pieces is that you keep increasing the potential of making it an unsafe geometry and making it crit. While not a big boom, you will see a lot of blue and whish you were dead....and Morphine will be your only friend after that.

And, to be fair, Step 4 does mention the problem of big radiation exposure sorts of problems.

I think I would be happy with getting through Step 1, maybe Step 2, and then leaving it to the experts. Ha.
