Reel Unreality

While everyone has a good laugh over "historical" movies of the 30s and 40s (be it pirates, or Robin Hood, or Musketeers) and how riddled with errors they are, the fact is that movies these days don't seem to be much more accurate -- even if they are a lot more pretty. Yahoo! Movies Presents: The 10 Most Historically Inaccurate Movies.

Interestingly, Mel Gibson is the star in three of them.

Quoth Boulder Dude ...

To be fair...

Mel only Produced and Directed Apocalypto. ;P

And 2001 was made when there was no reason to believe that those things were not possible 30 years time.

Seriously, just think if you made a movie about what has gone on since 2001 in RL as a Sci-Fi movie back in '68....no one would've believed it.

Yeah, 2001 is kind of a cheap shot. :-)

I still miss my Pan Am Orbital Shuttle, though ...
