NYC - Things done (and things left undone)

A Travelogue through New York City, told (mostly) in Wikipedia Pages.

(I've left out the wedding stuff up in Westchester because ... well, that's a different topic.)

THURSDAY

FRIDAY

SUNDAY

MONDAY

TUESDAY

So that's what we did, which leaves ...

THINGS NOT DONE

I solicited thoughts of places to go from several people who've visited or lived in NYC -- Mary, Michelle, Scott, Bruce, etc. I fear we didn't take any direct suggestions from any of the entries, though they all went into the hopper of our brains and filtered out into a bunch of the above. Plus, we lugged the printouts around with us everywhere. So many, many thanks.

Pictures to follow -- I'll comment here when they go up.

Quoth Scott ...

Wow, you certainly packed it in! I'm exhausted just reading the itinerary! :)

You probably rode past my office -- I work across 6th Avenue (good New Yorkers don't call it Avenue of the Americas) from Rock Center, diagonal from Radio City.

Frankie and Johnnie's is decent food -- I should have told you to hit the Firebird on 46th near 8th -- old school Russian, with doormen all decked out in Tsarist uniforms.

Never did one of the pedal cabs; they're recent, within the last three-four years. I feel for the drivers -- they're all in amazing shape.

Kim used to work at the Museum of Natural History, and the Met? Yeah, you burn out after a couple hours. I pick two things, max, and go.

Glad you had such a great visit!

Quoth *** Dave ...

It does indeed look busy -- though a lot of it was riding on the tour bus.

Yes, we did drive past your office (on said bus). I waved, but ... well, no, I was busy taking pictures (the ice rink thing looks smaller than on TV).

Firebird is on all the guide books -- sounds interesting. :-)

The gent certainly earned (what I hope was) his tip driving the two of us up and down the various hills between hither and yon.

Didn't actually go to the Museum of Natural History, but walked by it several times. :-)

I could probably spend just two hours in the Met gift shops. As it is, I saw some faboo art that I would dearly love to get prints of.

Thanks again for your recommendations, Scott.
