A month or so back I was approached by "Schmap," an online travel guide company, asking if they could use a Flickr picture I'd taken on my downtown rambles of Holy Ghost Church for their Denver guide.
"Sure," I said, indicating how I wanted the credit.

The front of the former Sovereign Hotel, currently home of the Oregon History Center. Portland, like Denver, is full of older buildings with delightful architectural accents.

They're replacing all the grass by the Convention Center Big Blue Bear with flagstones, and have the feet all sheathed in plastic.
