Alas, a heating duct was smack-dab in the way. Oh, well. Instead, we pursued a long-time project of Margie's. We changed the dark wood railing between the living room and the living room into a buffet and cabinets with down-lights. The project isn't yet finished, but we've gotten most of it done.
