Again, looking at how the system tries to show results, not process, I would say that Grappling (or Tripping) attack is simply executed as a normal attack (Superior Weapons bonuses apply as applicable, based on the description of the attack method; Superior Position, etc., works, too).

The results of the attack on the Wounds Table indicate the the affect it has on the target (e.g., at a minus to hit next round because of being grappled, or a prolonged minus based on being pinned, or having a shoulder wrenched, etc.), plus disadvantages from Superior Position (being pinned, etc.). When a target of a Grapple attack is shown as being Out, it may merely mean (GM and player agreement) that they have been trussed up/fully pinned and sat upon/Zip-tied into being out of the battle.
