The team was joined at the last minute by a new agent, Mirabella "Mira" Bajolet, replacing Gazi, who'd been sent back to the Compex for "other" duties.
The team flew to Brisbane, and there were met by Digger Monroe, a "contract" contact man for them to tie up to Adam Snow. They declined the invitation to his house, and instead checked into a nice hotel.
Gina went to scope out Snow's local hang-out, a private suite at Doomben Racetrack. She talked her way in to see him (encountering an old acquaintance along the way), and wangled an invite to his ranch in the Outback, departing that evening.
In the meantime, the rest of the crew developed a cover story as Chechen terrorists seeking some special equipment. Monroe got them introduced (then was summarily dismissed by Snow), and they beat around the bush for a bit, before Snow invited them along, too, since his private estate was much better suited to such meetings.
Each group met up at a private airfield that evening, and were escorted onto Snow's jet. There they met two of Snow's assistants, Alec Ramsey and Eddie Pryor (the latter of whom they'd also seen at the track box). They were not allowed to bring any weapons on board, for security reasons.
The flight was relatively uneventful (except for the furious Calvin/Mira tease/make-out session). Snow spent most of his time in the back private suite of the plane. Security was tight but unobtrusive, with Eddie flying in the main cabin with them, Alec in the cockpit. An internet-connected PC was used by Calvin, ostensibly to view porn (but more to see if there was any traces of previous users).
The jet arrives in the late afternoon* on a private dirt airstrip (well-maintained), and with the opening of the hatch to the ground below, and blast of heat from the outside, it's clear the mission has finally begun.
*Through some strange copy-editing time warp, it appears to have taken about 18-20 hrs to fly to the Snow estate.
