Eddie

I've been told that Eddie Izzard is a comedian that I should get to know better. Having just found out that he's doing a show in September here in Denver, I suppose I should consider whether that's a good opportunity.

Quoth Jack Gulick ...

I'd say "yes". But thanks to Julia, I've become quite an Eddie fan already (saw his last tour in Boston with Julia and Lou, in fact).

Of course, you could locate his "Dress to Kill" HBO special (out on DVD) to see if his style is quite to your taste first, but I've met only a few people for whom Eddie wasn't a good fit.

Quoth Boulder Dude ...

Cool! Eddie Izzard is coming to Denver. mut get tickets. His dvd rocked.

"Boom, Boom, Boom, I'm the Queen, The Queen of England."

Much fun.

The fact that he was willing to try things out (Bits that he admitted to not having an ending to, or had just come up with that morning) for a show that was being taped was very balls-y.

All in all a good time.

Quoth Xkot ...

Eddie is great fun. I think the most appealing aspect of his show is that he doesn't resort to insulting your intelligence to get a laugh. His comedy is actually smart, which is so rare today. I'm just sad that his tour isn't coming anywhere near Florida.
