I’m doing all this nattering on MT3.11 for two reasons:
- So that folks who run into the same questions/problems as I have will be able to, through the glory of Google, find where I found the answers. I.e., it’s a service to the community.
- Because my memory leaks like a sieve and if I don’t write this stuff down somewhere, I’ll never remember it myself. I.e., it’s self-serving.
‘Nuff said.

Hey, no complaints here: I’ll probably (with much swearing and cursing) eventually upgrade my creaky old 2.58 or whatever I’m running on, and these notes will be gold.
They will certainly be more golden than my ability to remember it.
“Hey, Dave, didn’t you have this problem I’m having here?”
“Um … I don’t think so. No wait, maybe I did. No, I’m pretty certain I didn’t.”
“Ah, here’s where you posted about it.”
“Really? I’ll be damned. Huh. Yeah, right there, I remember that now …”
