Leaving summer behind

The neighbor was out sweeping their driveway this weekend. I didn’t think the leaf situation was quite to that level yet, but it will be by this weekend. Hmmmm ……

Hmmmm … wonder what the Boy is doing Saturday …

  1. Speaking as someone who spent many an hour raking leaves in Michigan the last few years, but who now lives in a complex where the yardwork is handled by someone else, Fall is much nicer when you don’t have to rake leaves!

  2. Well, there is a visceral satisfaction about it — that’s good for about one weekend’s worth of effort. Alas, given the size of the cottonwoods in our neighborhood, it’s usually more of a several-weekend effort.

That said, I love living somewhere leaves actually change color ….

  3. Does make me glad, btw, that I didn’t pickup any PS2 games for the boy for his birthday. Though, come to think of it, I think we didn’t pick up *anything* for his birthday, which error needs to be corrected.
