That's right! Never mind that Roe v. Wade is only 30 years old, and immigration from south of the border has been around for a lot longer. No, Chuck Colson has the answer:

Remember the compassionate stuff that the abortionists used to tell us: "We are just preventing these poor kids from growing up in deprived, impoverished circumstances"? Hah! False. What happens is that others come in from abroad to live in those deprived, difficult, and impoverished circumstances and at great public cost.

I can't even begin to address the historical and logical disconnects here (e.g., if we'd not had abortion, would those 40 million people be harvesting crops in the San Joaquin Valley? And would the illegals they'd displaced be, in turn, eking out a living down in Mexico? I think not, on both counts). I think it just stands on its own.
