Saw this a few weeks ago, but seeing it again on BD’s blog reminded me to post about it — the Bayeux Tapestry, enhanced with music, translations, and animation. Very nice.
(The title is a reference to a t-shirt I bought in the UK a few years back with that inscription and this particular panel from the tapestry, allegedly showing Harold’s death.)
Very nice. Is Orff’s O Fortuna a requirement for cavalry charges?
At least we didn’t have orange (apple?) blossoms to go with it. 🙂
I saw that t-shirt about 19 years ago in the UK but, much to my disappointment, I didn’t buy it. Well, I’ve never forgotten it and have been trying, without success, to find that t-shirt ever since! Do you have any ideas where I might buy one or obtain a better quality photo of the “arrow” photo to make my own t-shirt? I still think it’s one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen!
I have one but I love it so much that I’m trying to find another to buy as mine’s beginning to show it’s age
