Let's see. Two thirds of the day is already booked up with phone conferences, all on critical matters -- working on an $11MM project with a direct report, discussing with another manager how her $3MM needs to integrate with my $11MM project, reviewing a previous $2MM project that should be about wrapped up except for fractious and uncooperative users, discussing with my boss how the department is doing (which will include the above items), chatting with a Senior VP about the $11MM and $3MM projects and why he needs to work and play well with some other folks to actually make them all happen ...
Oh, and in the other third -- prepping for the above meeting.
Should probably check my e-mail, too.
