An afternoon at the Botanic Garden.
UPDATE: So we decided to take a quiet family outing this afternoon. We were going to go to the zoo — but, as it was a gorgeous day, so the same idea was taken up by about a million-zillion other people. So we ended up going to the Botanic Garden instead. It was still winter-sere, though there were plenty of crocuses up, and other bulbs starting to push their way up. It was a nice afternoon together.

Worst thing we ever did: Try to visit the Philadelphia Zoo on Mother’s Day! Seems like more than a few other people had the same idea!
The last time we contemplated going to the zoo was, coincidentally (not something we knew in advance) one of their annual Free Days. Needless to say, we ended up choosing another destination instead.
