Ready to go

No direct flight, alas. Online check-in easy-peasy, even for DHIMM. Good lunch, good walk (Concourse B is 15 minutes long), and away we go!

Quoth ginny ...

Hah! For a while today, you are in my world.

Your incoming flight to Chicago will arrive a skosh few minutes early, Mr Hill, and your connecting flight to Amsterdam is currently showing an on-time depature and may arrive a full 30 minutes early. However, there are possible weather or air traffic delays today (they're hedging their bets; so far it's just been rainy and chilly, but snow is predicted later this evening).

Please be sure to wave, as you'll either be landing or taking off more or less directly over my building.

Electrical outlets at O'Hare are haaaard to find; generally if you look near the base of columns near the front of the gate, you'll find one, but there will already be at least one person sitting cross-legged on the floor hogging one or both outlets with personal tech. There's wireless, but it's not free as far as I recall.

Enjoy your all-too-brief visit to Chicago - the briefer the better, as many travelers aver.

Quoth *** Dave ...

Thanks, Ginny. Margie read me your comment when I called her from the plane. Was hardly there long enough to get any of the local flavor -- but I'm more likely to need those outlets on the trip back. :-)
