Welcome to March, which has definitely entered here in Denver like a lion. It being the top of the month, it’s time once again to look at my hit stats. Feel free to browse forward to the next post …

Site Meter (“And Worth Every Penny of It”) doesn’t really give me a clean stats for the past month, but I can use the “What do I think the next month will show based on the last month” stat to tell me what I did this month. That showed (ta-daah!) I had 4,767 hits.

However, that’s only part of the story. I set up my WIST pages onto the same Site Meter meter. So I have to factor those out. I can’t do it automatically, but I can look at the proportion, based on the entry pages sceeen, which works from a much narrower time frame, but that’s how it works. That indicates that my hits are coming in the following proportions:

My Blog – 44% = 2,097 hits
WIST.info – 40% = 1,906 hits
Other pages – 16% = 764 hits

So. Take that as you will, since this is the first month I’ve factored in anything else into hits. I have a sense that the overall blog hit rate has gone down, but that’s at least in part because I’ve been away from it for some swathes of time this past month. No content, eventually no hits.

No worries.

Of course, my hit count isn’t helped when my host is down. Like it was this morning, mutter-mutter …
