So the agenda for later this week is reloading the loaner notebook (which, I’ve been told, is actually capable of running at a higher resolution), and shipping this POS off to IBM.
Fortunately, I did a full backup before I left.
Bleah.
(I actually had the spare at home with me over the weekend, in case the A31 crapped out; Margie had a small panic when she saw it sitting on spare bed where I’d been packing. I do wish, in retrospect, that I’d brought it along with me …)
If you figure out how to actually run it at a higher resolution please let me know.
I was assured by one of our techies that it should run at a higher res; might be worthwhile checking out IBM’s site for video drivers to see if there’s an update/replacement for what’s currently on the box.
