Coming home….
Coming home.

Awwww, that has got to be the best feeling evah. 🙂
Welcome home Dave.
It was funny. I’ve always talked about how neat it is to have people waiting for you at the top of the escalator when you get home from a long trip (based on some rare past occurances). But the nature of the airport and its logistics are such that it rarely happens. In this case, I was expecting it, and even SMSed Margie a couple of notes as we landed and got to the gate. I was in the last row on the plane, but we were a bit early, and I still made good time to the terminal — and as I came up the escalator …
… nothing.
Then I saw Margie and Katherine strolling over and looking at the fountain, so I leaned against the rail and just sat there smiling at them, until Katherine (“Daddy!”), then Margie (“Where?”) spotted me.
It was neat. And it’s nice to be back home.
